I found this quote on Pinterest and wanted to share it:
"I’ve got two daughters who will have to make their way in this skinny-obsessed world, and it worries me, because I don’t want them to be empty-headed, self-obsessed, emaciated clones; I’d rather they were independent, interesting, idealistic, kind, opinionated, original, funny - a thousand things, before ‘thin’. And frankly, I’d rather they didn’t give a gust of stinking chihuahua flatulence whether the woman standing next to them has fleshier knees than they do. Let them never be Stupid Girls." – J.K. Rowling
It is so easy to slip into the ways of the world and compare yourself to those around you, to be constantly finding the imperfections in your appearance. I believe it is great to exercise, eat healthy, and try to stay fit, but let us not become so obsessed that we forget what really matters; who we are on the inside. Being a fun, kind, thoughtful daughter of God is much more important than having as nice of a body as Jennifer Anniston (plus that ain't ever gonna happen!).

I agree with your mother. There is nothing wrong with your shape and you do try to do the right things. You are beautiful inside and out. You are loved by many!
