Las Vegas

Since Kayla's baby was blessed this Sunday we thought it would be a good excuse to go to Vegas with some of our good friends, Tanner and Cami Wells. Cami is from Vegas so her family was kind enough to let us stay with them. She has such an awesome family and it was fun getting to know them.

We drove down on Thursday night and when we got there we got in the hot tub and relaxed. On Friday we played tennis. The weather was PERFECT. I am definitely not very good at tennis, but Trevor picked it up pretty fast. That night we went to dinner and then headed down to the strip. I hadn't ever been to the strip so we had to experience it. We had a good time seeing all of the interesting hotels and watching the water show at the Bellagio.

Saturday we went shopping at H&M. I so wish we had that store here. Then we had dinner with Kayla and Brian and their family. It was so good to see them; they have the cutest family.

Sunday was definitely not the highlight of our trip. We got lost on the way to the baby blessing and ended up getting there right after Brian finished blessing Rowan. And after Sacrament meeting we were on our way to visit my cousin Karrissa and her family before heading back to Utah; it was raining and because my tires were so bald we slid into a curb and bent the rim of my front left tire. We safely made it to Karriss and Joe's and called a few different tire stores but no one could really help us until Monday. Karrissa and Joe were nice enough to let us stay at their house on Sunday night and they fed us a delicious dinner and breakfast and we played some rockband. In the morning we decided to put the spare on and we made it all the way to Orem with the spare. I feel really blessed that all that happened was a bent rim. We made it safe and that's what's important. (We bought four new tires today!)

In all, we had a great weekend. It was just what we needed to get away and just enjoy each other.
